Following the OPEN MEETING held on 11th December, the Trustees of the Community Centre would thank those that  attended for their fresh ideas and would now like to invite any interested parties in submitting further ideas to to allow these to also be discussed to improve the facilities offered by your Community Centre

The aim of the Community Centre is to provide and promote groups, private functions, public meetings and community events for the recreation and leisure-time activity of the residents of Brightlingsea. The Community Centre offers a welcoming atmosphere, friendly ambience and is open to all residents.

The Brightlingsea Community Centre was built in 1975 and is the main venue for many social, educational and commercial events.  Our greatest asset; the Liberty Hall has capacity

for an audience of 250 people and includes it’s own bar and a large purpose built stage with full lighting and audio equipment hire.  The Liberty Hall is popular for weddings, birthday parties and other large events whilst supporting a thriving theatre calendar.  We have two rooms available to hire for group meetings and childrens parties of up to 40 people.  Also available to hire is the Cinque Port Hall which is licenced for 100 people and is a favourite for childrens parties.  The Brightlingsea Community Centre also benefits from full disabled access and a fully equipped kitchen. The Oyster Bar is licensed for members and their guests and hosts regular musical events.
